The month of July traditionally honors the Most Precious Blood of Jesus.

It is the blood of Christ, the Lamb of God, which cleanses us from sin—therefore the Church developed a devotion to Jesus' physical blood and its mystical power, just as it did for His Sacred Heart from which His blood poured out on the Cross. The Precious Blood of Jesus courses through the Church spiritually, giving eternal life to the Body of Christ through the sacraments. Many saints had a devotion to the Precious Blood of Jesus, especially St. Catherine of Siena. Devotion to the Precious Blood spread widely through the preaching of Saint Gaspar del Bufalo, who was a 19th-century priest and the founder of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. This devotion was later approved and recommended by the Holy See.

The feast day of the Most Precious Blood of Jesus is July 1st.

Dear Parents or Legal Guardians,

We continue to pray that you are all doing well and staying safe!
Friday, May 1 st the Archdiocese sent protocols on what will happen when things start
opening up. Regarding religious formation, I believe, that it is apparent we no longer
need to wait and must become proactive as the second expectation clearly states, “You
will need to keep six feet of distance between anyone not in your household for the
foreseeable future of the church.”
Thus, we cannot reopen our classrooms for the
remainder of this school year.
Therefore, we will initiate our Google Classroom for First Holy Communion which will
be activated this Friday, May 8th. We have set up one classroom online to supplement
the requirements needed for successfully completing your religious formation lessons
for 2019-2020.
Realizing that our candidates are already working on their regular school assignments,
either on-line or physical packages (4 academics along with at least 2 exploratory
classes), we will modify our curriculum for the 8 weeks of instruction. However, we will
incorporating the lessons into six weeks since the last two weeks are scheduled for
make-ups, procession rehearsal and end-of-the-year celebration (classroom party).

Please follow the instructions below:

  • You must have a Gmail account. If not, please create one.

  • Go to the website: classroom.google.com

  • If prompted select “student”

  • To JOIN the class: click the + sign in the top right corner

  • Type in class code: ffxzalz

The Confirmation staff is also working on their methods of instruction and it will be
posted once it is ready.
We thank you for your anticipated patience and wishing you all a blessed day!
Respectfully yours in Christ,
Fr. Fred and the Catechetical Staff

in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of the Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and round about as far as Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
